Miami Home Once Owned by Enrique Iglesias Is Listing for $24.95 million

A Miami Beach, Fla., home once owned by pop-star Enrique Iglesias is listing for $24.95 million, according to listing agent William P.D. Pierce.

The current owner, Marc Puleo, the founder of 1 800 Pet Meds, bought the property for $7.85 million in 2004 from Mr. Iglesias, according to public records. Mr. Iglesias didn’t respond to requests for comment.

Located on a roughly ½-acre lot on a point of Sunset Island I, an exclusive island community on Biscayne Bay, the waterfront property has a roughly 6,700-square-foot, Moroccan-inspired home with five bedrooms and five bathrooms. A guesthouse has another bedroom and two bathrooms. There is a dock that can accommodate at least a 46-foot yacht, Mr. Pierce said.

Called Villa Jasmine, the home also includes a rooftop Jacuzzi, home theater, an onyx bar with LED lighting, smart home automation features and a backup generator, according to the listing.

The owner, Mr. Puleo, said he put more than $4 million into renovations, which included adding new landscaping, a gazebo, pool area, a large fountain and a balcony, among other changes. An anesthesiologist by trade, Mr. Puleo founded PetMed Express, a delivery service for pet medicine and supplements, in 1996. He left the company in 2006, he said, to pursue other projects.

“I’ve been here for 11 years going on 12,” Mr. Puleo said about his reasons for selling. “It’s time for condo living for a while.” He plans to spend more time traveling abroad with his girlfriend. He said he’ll miss the sights, like pods of dolphins visible from the property.
